Inshore Tuna?

I was talking to an other captain about the hit I got on Sat. that spooled me. He told me he had the same thing within 15 minutes of when I had mine. Could this have been a small Tuna? It wasn't the bottom and it it seemed too fast for a Striper or Blue.

Possibly. I got a couple reports from some others of stray SBFT just a bit more south of where you were. Not really schools, but some lone footballs. they had trouble hooking up too.

I am curious where you were. I got spooled realy close to shore but in 60 feet of water. Thought I had a lobster pot rope but it started moving from stern to port. Lost a spool of braid and all my backing:mad: .

17 giants landed out of Green Harbor yesterday. Some were caught very close to shore.

I was down that way yesterday. One guy reported less that a mile off the beach.
