Wrapping on a plate seat...
 

I've got a few cork tape rods with the Fuji plate seats that I'd like to wrap the seat on permanently. I understand I need to underwrap with a little saran wrap or something to keep the thread from cutting into the cork. Aside from that, wrapping the thread tight and a coat of epoxy to finish...is there anything I should pay attention to, or any tips that might help???

how about shrink tube, then epoxy, no bubbles from cork.

I use 36# dacron then epoxy. then let it dry and cover with thread color of your choice.
