GO RED SOX!

Even though the Sox are making me lose sleep, as long as they keep on winning, I'll gladly go many a sleepless night.

tynan19 10-25-2004 07:26 AM

Pedro tonight, against a club that hasn't seen much of him before. I am feeling good.

BigFish 10-25-2004 07:49 AM

Tomorrow night Tynan19....easy there boy!;)

reelecstasy 10-25-2004 07:53 AM

Beautiful game 2.....The crowd was into it, and our boys are rollin...:smokin: "I live for this"... I hope it comes back this way, love to see em take it all at home..Wooooooooo

Mike P 10-25-2004 08:26 AM

Easy, boys. Remember, you won the first two---and on the road, no less--in 1986 ;)

But the Cards don't have the pitching the Mets had in 86.

Suppan isn't a bad hitter, by the way. Now the Sox arms have to hit. Nothing can kill a two-out rally like an automatic out from the #9 spot in the order.

BigFish 10-25-2004 08:40 AM

Mike P is right as we have been making the most of the 2 out scoring opportunities with men on base thus far but things could get a little tougher in the NL park! Glad we won the first two at home....that could be huge! I am thinkin' Pedro blows them away tomorrow night so him hitting really won't become much of a factor!;)

Goona need flawless fielding also!:smash: Whats up with the hands of stone the last couple of nights!

I think in one particular case, it's more of a head of stone :D

Great job on the basepaths, too. Jog down to first waving a #1 finger to the fans, then decide to head for second as the throw is coming into the plate. Damn good thing Pujols was playing between the mound and first to take a cut-off, and not covering the bag.

Lemme ask you guys something, in case this Series gets back to the Land of the DH---is Ortiz that much more of a defensive liability at first than Planet Manny is in left. I know Millar can play right--he should also be able to play left, then

The Dad Fisherman 10-25-2004 12:33 PM

You guys wanted an exciting series.........Nothing more exciting than a routine fly ball to left :D

Mike P 10-25-2004 02:14 PM

Can't wait to see him playing in a park where there's actually a gap in left center  Damon's gonna have to cover a lot of ground out there, methinks ;)

Thank God they got rid of the turf out there.

Mike P - Enjoy the game, you've got your own problems in the evil empire.

Mike P 10-25-2004 02:32 PM

You haven't been paying attention my friend: my two favorite teams are the Mets and whoever's playing the Yankees :D

Seeing George eat $195 mil---and to the Sox of all teams---kinda makes up a little for the fact that the Mets are owned by a bozo, with an even bigger bozo for a son.

fishsmith 10-25-2004 02:38 PM

Sorry Mike I saw NY and assumed the worst. an honest error.
Yeah I love the fact that Georgie is paying players like, Giambi, A-rod, Brown ...

afterhours 10-25-2004 02:44 PM

MIKE, sounds like you guys are in the same boat as the orioles:( bad owners with knucklehead sons:smash:

tynan19 10-25-2004 03:21 PM

BigFish your right I quess I am to excited. Tomorrow night.:smash:

Mike P 10-25-2004 06:41 PM

That's OK, I think we may still be paying Mo Vaughn not to play

kippy 10-25-2004 07:30 PM

I think Mo is still one of the highest paid players in the league..Ortiz reminds me of Mo but a better hitter.
