How deep would a darter dive if a darter could dive deep?
I have the small Gibbs 1 5/8 oz darter. I know it does best in the current. What kind of current? Running across me or running past me or running towards me? I have oppurtunities to fish each. So what do I do? Still confused on how to use it.
In fact, I haven't caught any fish on any of my wooden lures. I have a small Hab's needle, a 5/8 oz Casting Swimmer, a Boones Needlefish, a Danny Swimmer, a large darter, the gibbs darter and can't get bit on any of them, even the bluefish won't hit them. Any help? |
I've had darters that run deep and others that are just below the surface. Maybe it's plug design or the way I was working it. I'd be inclined to go with the former.
Here's a pic of some different darter designs: http://images.andale.com/f2/115/106/..._plugs_ANF.jpg |
