More pics of S County -- were you there?
Well at least the schoolies were active today...and so was the wind. I had to take my eyes off the editing screen and breath a little salt air. I paid a visit to few fishing holes you folks might hold near and dear; I'm attaching a few more "wallpaper" sized shots from today.
There were plenty of birds working offshore and no doubt bigger bass under them. http://fisheye.striped-bass.com/imag...sunsetsurf.jpg http://fisheye.striped-bass.com/imag...unsetblitz.jpg It's not over yet. Mike |
Those are great pictures Mike, can't wait for the new video...and yes I was in S County the past 3 days, all schoolies..

Better yet - anyone see the Northern Lights in SoCo last night?
|
Saw them last year at my house in Northern Mass. It was an awesome experience.
|
saw some crazy shooting stars sat. night
|
Was at Weekapaug and saw the Northern Lights. They were awesome. I have a friend who is an astronomer and he told me they will occur again tonight along with the Leonoid meteor showers.
|
Saw them as well from my deck...very red...

I thought at first i was having flashbacks:smokin: :smokin: :eyes:, like i was back at the phish festival . That was sick, big portion of the sky was all red and long wavy streaks to the right of it. Tons of action out there today, this cold snap must have got em moving.

AURORA ALERT: An extreme geomagnetic storm, which began around 5 p.m. EST on Nov 7th, is subsiding now. At its peak last night, the storm produced Northern Lights as far south as Oklahoma and California in the United States: gallery. A coronal mass ejection (CME) en route to Earth and due to arrive on Nov. 8th or 9th, could re-energize the storm. Remain alert for auroras!

Last fall i saw the lights while fishing the east end of the canal. The fish were in nice and think and the light were roaring for a couple hours. Was the best day of last year, there is something magical bout the lights and it doesnt hurt when the fish are biting.

millions of em at c-town! for those of you who were there, i was in the orange Clemson U hat, casting those 1/2 ounce tsunami split tails with my 10'. I am no googan, i had just planned on fishing bigger stuff, till those other guys started catching schoolies next o me. light stuff does not fish well with 50 lb. braid. Fsih blitzing offshore there, too.
