"Some Plugs" back to life poll
 

Need to get your vote to get John to load the missing pictures from the Some Plugs thread in the Plug forum that is over 1000 posts long. They have been MIA for quite a few months now and I am worried that the thread is dead.
PLEASE Revive it ASAP

oh yes, need some inspiration for the winter season, as i look out and already see the snow flyin please....:)

We want "Some Plugs..." We want "Some Plugs...."!:D Something tells me that thread....if put in the right hands, could go over 2000 replies if we get it up and running again! Alot of very helpful research data on that thread!:happy:

If at all possible, maybe delegate it to another computer guy with more time. If I knew how to do it, I'd volunteer, but anything past typing and clicking, plus a few other minor things, I know Zippo.
I understand the time restraints work and family put on a guy, maybe a few computer types could step up????
I'll donate a few plugs after the first of the year, to support the cause... anybody else???? BFLarry, part with some plugage for a good cause??? ;)

OK, here is what I will need to do. I will likely need to TURN OFF the message board for some time if this is to work, could be anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours in order to do this - is that OK? And it still might fail...

This will also bring back thousands of other pictures...

The short version is that I need to recreate several different revisions of the board and import more DB stuff into it. It has failed my last two attempts...

OK - I tried again over the past 2 hours and so far no go... I have a couple ideas that will allow me to reintroduce these - just takes time...

I noticed that going way back in posts I see image links that end up pulling up brand new pictures. like they have looped around.

I noticed that a few months back, pulled up some old threads in a search in the plug building forum, BM, was talking about a certain plug and a picture shows MrsS.Francis holding a fish!, I'm like :huh:
I think Slip said he noticed that too, when we were chatting one day.
I figgered (wrong I know) that you were just moving some stuff around........

Yep, I saw that too a while after your last server change thingy from way back when the pics went poof, maybe 6 months ago

I've been trying to get them back to where they are supoposed to be. The problem is that when I import them back into the MySQL Attachments table it winds up bouncing the attachments that were uploaded later. So I can somewhat easily get the pics back but then I trash all the attachments that were uploaded after...

Anyone REAL good with MySQL?



Now, the important part - AT LEAST FOR VIEWING ONLY, I have retrieved the Some Plugs thread. Hopefully I will be able to completely ressurect it as part of the main boards... I have no control ove pics that were linked in from locations other than on S-B - some work some don't...
