Is There Such An Animal?

Looking for a 3/16 Forstner bit? Is there such an animal? I have checked all my usual websites and catalogues.....any help would be appreciated!;)

I don't think there is such an animal easily available. 5 milimeters is pretty close though but not a perfect fit.

If you are ever stuck, consider an "end mill" for metal work in a Bridgeport machine. They make them in many dia.

I've ordered the wierd sizes from bitsnbores as well. And they're local to boot :btu:

If you buy an end mill besure it's center cutting. It will leave a slight high spot in the center of the hole!

if you want to use an end mill, you'd be better off using a 2 flute end mill, they are always center cutting - some 4 flute ones aren't. you'll get better chip removal, and they are probably cheaper.
