you need a waterproof marker

MICRON pens ( made by pigma ) or
DECOCOLOR opaque paint markers (made by uchida)
are two that I have used.

you can get the micron pens in a craft store

I like the micron pens. Just make sure they dry thoroughly (sp?) or it floats around in the epoxy.

Pick up one of those one style pens that you dip in ink. Dip in createx and sign.

I use the micron type markers. No runs/smudges just let dry before you finish 'em.

I use a decal.

BigFish 12-07-2004 01:00 PM

Didn't like the micron pens....took em back! Sharpie works better!;)

Striperknight 12-07-2004 02:03 PM

I agree with the micron pens. They are expensive and dry out fast. Has anyone else had a problem with these pens drying out?.

The sharpie will run if hit by paints or epoxy.

I thought it was me...yes my first micron pen ran out ...

I was trying to fix some of the edges on the black part
of a makerel pattern with the micron pen and it ran out on the first plug... I wonder if the createx paint sucks up the ink from the micron ?

now I only use them to make a small initials on each plug

oh... and I did return the empty pen to Michaels...

thefishingfreak 12-07-2004 06:27 PM

i think your pens are s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g up a little bit of createx?
the two different paints don't mix well, instantly gums up, and clogs the tip of the pen.hense the first plug runout.
i think the pen still has ink in it but the tip/wick is now junk.

put a little laquer thinner in latex paint and you'll se what i'm talkin' about ;)
