I've always wanted to try that- being the pyromaniac that i am:hihi:

did you inject it with seasonings??

tlapinski 11-25-2004 02:48 PM

no injecting this year, just a little cajun rub. it's pretty easy, and BY FAR the best tasting turkey going! this is my 11th straight thanksgiving going fried. usually do one on Christmas and one other throughout the year. only had 1 catch on fire so far...

Frying turkey is a fantastic way to cook it.

JUST BE CAREFUL :af:

I've got the burners... oh I've got the burners :laughs:

cheferson 11-25-2004 03:29 PM

My friends did that last year, the numb nutz put too much oil. When they lowered the turkey, a bunch of oil bubbled over the side, all over their deck.:laughs:

spence 11-25-2004 03:41 PM

That is really, really REALLY dangerous...

What happened to the rest of turkey???:) They are good..Gotta try doing my own sometime..

tlapinski 11-25-2004 05:42 PM

that's the only part of the turkey i eat, so i only buy the breast. always end up tossing the legs/wings out.

Any one ever try beer but chicken. You cook it with a can in the opening and the beer moisture slowly seeps in it.

T lap that looks good.

cheferson 11-25-2004 06:39 PM

Beer chicken is killer, i lke using other stuff better though in the can instead of bear. I have a rack that holds the chicken up and the can in place

I'd love to dunk that sucker in buffalo sauce......:D
