In my old shop I used a salamander and it worked well, just shut it off if you ain't there. Now I'm in the basement and always warm.

I did'nt finish in my old shop but I did do contact cement at times. Get it good and warm, shut heater off, spread cement, let it flash off, open overhead door to change air and turn heater back on. I have heard of guys blowing up houses from contact cement from stove pilots.

I bought a vented gas heater for the house. It's the size of a suitcase and works wonders. It cost almost 1400 installed. The shed ( 16x20) is gonna catch a major rebuild and be the new jake-cave. Look up Rinnae or Monitor heaters. They are great!

I use a small propane heater i bought at homies, hooks up to a grill sized gas tank. keeps the shed nice and warm. of course i turn it off when making alot of dust or using something with combustable fumes.
