matching a reel

I am building a rod from a Lamiglass S-glass blank (7 foot saltwater edition).

Any ideas about a good spinning reel to match to this? Have been looking at Shimano Stradic and Quantum PT reels.

Thanks.

Penn SS
Unless they are getting dunked alot are solid reels.. I like the 6500
In the boat I fish a 710 on a 7ft spinner and its a solid reel as well

6500's a lot of reel for a 7' S-glass rod. In Penns, the 4500 and 5500 SS reels fit well if you like to play anti-reverse roulette, or the 460 Slammer.

4000 size Shimanos (Spheros, Stradic etc) are also a good fit. I use a 4000 Sustain on my 7' schoolie rod.

Daiwa SS 1600 is a solid, dependable reel that now runs under 100 clams ;)
