I hate not havin 2 treble hooks on a plug but some smaller ones get only one belly hook.so I used to rap the rear treble an no matter how far back on the hook or how short or sparse i tied em they would foul.in other words the bucktail would rap around the hook an look funny.anyone got a solution.By the way nice work.

I have found in my fly tying that if I stack the bucktail from short to long that helps. I start with the shortest layer on the belly of the hook, than a longer layer on the sides and the longest layer on the top. They tend to support each other and help prevent fouling. Other than that, just check the hook often :-)

Nice work on the bucktails and plugs:btu:especially that blue and white spook:) I like the siwash with a single or no hook when using double belly hooks especilly, when the blues are around. Keeps me away from the hospital:( Don't ask me how i know:)

Let me guess. I know I have a few scars in the back of my hands from this past summer. I pinch the barbs down now...
