I don't even make plugs Slip....but last year I thought that would be cool to combine a wood swimmer with some rubber
there can't be too many new ideas

bassmaster 12-07-2004 11:33 PM

ac plug. and castiac made plugs along the same idea.
I had a ac plug and though it sucked, I cracked it off of bird #^&#^&#^&#^& rock years back on my way down to the hole via some jucy rocks

Tagger 12-08-2004 05:07 AM

I make that exact same plug,,,,only the rubbers in the front with the wood in the back..

BigBo 12-08-2004 05:10 AM

Cutting edge? Pffft! I've been cutting tails off the Rubber Man's Curly tail grubs for a while now to use for that same purpose.:smash: ;)

For those that think your idea was stolen - it sucks doesn't it?

Funny, I didnt complain when everyone started making spook type lures when there was no other company making them through wired for saltwater before me. Nor did I cry and stamp my feet when every jumps on the swirl paint job band wagon, which was done way before I decided to do it.

Check out some musky plugs, this is not a new idea, never said it was.

Nothing is "new", you can only improve on what is there, some do it better than others. Take it or leave it.

spence 12-08-2004 07:26 AM

Since it's only 1/2 a plug is it going to be 1/2 the price

NIB 12-08-2004 07:27 AM

Musky plugs???? I gotta get me some crayons.

BigBo 12-08-2004 07:48 AM

Tatoo. Speaking for myself, my post wasn't meant to diss you and Habs plugs in any way shape or form. You guys are making some really nice, quality stuff there.
I'm not a plug maker anyways. I do like to experiment though.
Hell, I even recently used a trimmed down 5 1/2" split tail from the "King of Rubber" for Cod teasers.:D

Well said Tattoo.

RIJIMMY 12-08-2004 09:01 AM

I have some big black Musky Jitterbugs i used to use for largemouths at night. I wonder if those would work in a salt pond under a full moon.....hmmmm

Krispy 12-08-2004 09:32 AM

I invented swirl paint........................................... and musky plugs. So back off my chit, hombre

tlapinski 12-08-2004 09:41 AM

krispy, didn't you invent the BUTT-le plug?

Tattoo 12-08-2004 09:47 AM

BigBo -

No harm done. Two things I have learned....

1 - If you cant take the heat get out of the kitchen.
2 - It's slippery at the top.

well said.

Only so many shapes and shades. Everything goes thru phases, right now it's swirly paint...... Meybe we all need to just learn to enjoy the other fellas interpatation, and not worry about if the chicken came before the egg... all right, so you invented the egg.... :hihi:

gonna be a long winter boys................ Buckle Up!

Notaro 12-08-2004 09:58 AM

where can i find that kind of rubber? i got a superstrike bullet needle and a single hook on it. i am looking for a better rubber to make the action more lively.

JHABS 12-08-2004 09:58 AM

No ONE IS GOING TO REINVENT THE WHEEL, The sad part about this is SOME want it all when there is plenty to go around Theres enough pieces of the pie for EVERYONE and no TWO do things the same. Just some seem to see something and copy it right away when no one was doing it. Wait go to the Bourne Bridge paint your self PINK then Jump , How many would follow, Lifes to Short Boys........MERRY XMASS and a Happy New Year..................................Can't we all get along, To some That would be to EASY.

spence 12-08-2004 10:48 AM

Just to make sure I've got this right...

It's PINK then JUMP?

:smash:

Nebe 12-08-2004 10:51 AM
