Hooks
What do you use to anchor the hooks to your plugs?
It really depends how you make your plug.
If you through wire the plug, the wire goes through a swivel to the back. You can either attach it directly to the swivel, or use an o ring to attach it. The second is if you use eyehooks on your plugs. If you use the eyehooks, you can either attach it directly to the eyehook or again use and o ring to attach it. Hope this helps. |
you can pin it to, drill hole set swivel dril hole through side of plug pin it with stainless, and fill with apoxy
You can also use screw eyes, try to find the 1 1/4 inch long ones, and epoxy them in. Not a bad choice if you don't have access to a drill press.
How do you through wire a plug? I have acess to a drill press.
Drill hole trough the plug, stick wire in one hole and out the other. Sounds easier than it is.
Is there a way to attach a middle hook to the wire, or is the wire only for the back hook?
The wire should go through a swivel. On the end of the swivel, use a split ring to attach the hook.

Although I don't use many plugs, those heavy duty O-rings I got from SOL aren't ever going to need replacing. Some are really too heavy for what I do.
