how to swirl / marbelize a step bye step

gonna be a bunch of pics so bare with me:D

tagger's danny.
spray bombed black

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 12:45 PM

give it a tappity tap with a little white and some tin foil.
the black base is dry so the two colors don't mix.

this one will be marble

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 12:46 PM

i wrapped it up in the foil and smoothed it out a little bit

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 12:47 PM

maybe a touch of gold here and there?

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 12:49 PM

a little flip from an acid brush with a little bit of blue for some added eye amazement.
this is the messy part.
whatever you don't want splattered you better move out of the way:D

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 12:50 PM

add a black spot and an eye:)

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 12:52 PM

ok how 'bout a booger popper?

this one i just smeared the crap out of with black.doesn't have to be pretty, just covered.
pay no attention to the blue. black an white only.

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 12:53 PM

a couple booger flips with an acid brush. the black is still wet 'cause i want the colors to mix a little bit.

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 12:56 PM

roll it arround on some foil, the thin sandwich foil is eisier to work with. and tahh dahh....
that clear is so-so.ok for fishing but i wouldn't try a plug swap with anyone with that stuff on there.
enamel NEVER fully cures.

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 12:57 PM

how about a bassmaster pikie?
strait dry primer.

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 12:58 PM

smear the crap out of it with red.
this pics a little fuzzy, but you get the idea.

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 12:59 PM

wrap it up right away in foil.

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 01:00 PM

ok,
lets open it up and see what i did.

EEEWWWWwww thats nasty

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 01:00 PM

ok take two on the pikie.
lets try saran wrap

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 01:01 PM

ahh:) thats a little better

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 01:08 PM

this concludes the tour.
try some saran wrap, tin foil, sponges, feathers, metalic colors.
on and on the possibilitys are endless.

merry x-mass.
mike:)

Swirl

Thefishingfreak,

Rec'd your PM and many thanks for the help. Stuff looks great.

Was the Pikie wet (in white) before you hit it with the red? I think the answer is "no" but it looks it. Also, does it matter what paint you use? I'm using waterbased Createx.

Merry Xmas guys!

Rich

Good stuff Freak :kewl: Appreciate you sharing this.

Jigman

thefishingfreak 12-25-2004 03:55 PM

the pikie was still wet with red. i splashed some white on there before i did the saran wrap.thats why the colors mixed into that swirly creamyness.they were both wet.
sometimes you just gotta stop and look at what you've done. if you do it too long you'll just end up with a pink plug.
you can do it with any paint.
the fisrt two were spray bombs, the pikie was auto basecoat.
