rigging info.
I just got a penn 9/0 senator rod and a penn 114h reel, and I wanted to start stripped bass fishing I was wondering the best setup was. I was wondering if it was a good idea to wire line troll with this setup. I want to be able to catch a couple different fish also cod, bluefish and strippers. Thanks.

Let me know the secret to catching "Strippers!!!" with that rig!!!:D :D just had to get that in before someone else did!!!;) If ya didn't want to use wire, you could use braided line with lead core line especially if you are fishing in shallow water15-20 feet or less and just put out the number of colors that you want to get ya down the depth that ya want!!! That rig will get ya some nice "Stripers!!!!!!" ;) Happy New Year!!!!  |

114
Good all around reel. Holds lots of wire. I have 3. I use it for trolling tubes or parchute rigs DEEP. Take the wire off when it gets to late in the year for stripers, load up with braid, and you have a nice cod set up.
