Providence Boat Show
Next weekend? Who is going?
|
allready!!!
 maybe |
WHY ???? :smash:
Gwen told me she is getting loam delivered ///the Seacraft is going to be a planter:smash: |
Why would anyone on this site want to go to a boat show since most here think boat fish don't count
:smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: |
Just got back from the NYC boat show. Boat fish might not count but boat $$$'s definately do. Prices seem to be following the national debt.
|
I'll probably go on Saturday.
|
I'll proably go...I like checkin it out, even though aint gots no $$.
|
John,
Mancini and I will be there on Sunday. |
I will be there on Fri with Jane. Don's will have a 2301 D/C there and he knows Jane would like a bigger boat. He even sent two tickets to be sure she got to see the new D/C:D
|
I have to work on Saturday. I may go on Sunday, if someone can come up with a free pass for me :D

Hi John:wave: not sure I want the 23' Jane does but I like the 21' just the way it is . Will have to see if the 23 fits the yard and how easy it would be to launch by my self as the 21 is nice for those days that I am alone.

Greg, Imo.. the walkaround is better fishwise then the DC and still has family comforts.

Providence Boat Show
Providence Boat Show
I will be going to the Providence Boat Show friday.... a lot less people then, i hope... plan on spending the day. / al |
Did you see the S I Z E of that 275 verado? JEZUS that is big...that thing is H U G E! It was about 7.5' tall and must be close to 700# what a monster of a engine. When you stand next to it and compare it to a "normal" 225 it seems to dwarf it. No question the largest ob I have ever seen.
I liked the 27' CC bluefin with diesel (islander). Price was a touch high, not insane like the surfhunter and the other ultra trimed out boats but nice none the less . Looks like the couterrotating props w/diesel produce some nice economy. Also saw the new 33' hydrosports ...also nice but I thought it had a few design quirks that seemed odd to me. In the DD center stamus boats had some huge CC (I think it was 32') with a 12' beam powered by outboards. I really think a boat with a 12' beam demands more serious power then the bolt on options. I asked the fellow what is under all the deck? (since there is no inboard. Just storage. It just seemed like too big for OB. Still lots of junk in the 18-26' range being pushed. Someone must be buying it because theyre seems to be more and more each year. good show as usual just wish they had more bigger boats..to many of the same style if you ask me. |
Pretty good show. I thought the NorthCoast 20 c/c was one of the nicer hulls. They where located in the DD center(all blue hulls)
Out of Bristol RI |
Ok Jane wants the 23' W/A I do like the idea of the cabin for some over night trips to Cutty but realy like the 21 D/C as it is now. Don's is going to bring the 23 by the house to see if we can get it in the yard then off for a ride to be sure I like the way she runs. Still up in the air about giving up the 21 D/C though.:( :D
|
Bring it over to the house?...that is service!:D You lucky! My wife will not go to this show because they "only have fishing boats there"...She wants a 42-48' trawler (a la Grand Banks)
|
Of all the boats and all the shops I have dealt with in the past Don's is by FAR the best ever. Same day service most of the time and always glad to talk to you and help out with any ? you might have. All the guys in the sevice dept are the same way they can't do enoght to help you out. He even tried to talk Jane out of the 23W/A but she seams to be set on it.

The Virado looks silly big to me. What really shocked me was how much smaller the 300 Yamaha was than the Virado.
