Where to get drill bits
I am trying to make 7.5" Danny Plugs, I am having problems trying to drill the thru wire hole with the normal 1/8"bits I have from my drill press and hand drills. What do people do to drill thru holes in longer plugs like Needles, Dannies, Pencils etc?

I got a 1/8" brad point drill bit, 9" long (I think) from these guys. Use a 4" bit on my lathe to start the hole on each end of the blank and then I use this long bit to finish off the through wire hole. Oops, looks like Moses is quicker than I. Sorry for the extra post. |
Home depot is carrying 12" bits in 1/8 and 3/16

Placed an order from bitsnbores, thanks.
Really think the brad point is the way to go, as it draws the bit into the wood |
