Hunting (in my opinion)

when bucks learn to shoot back at you, then i'll call it sporting. it dont take a rocket scientist to go hide in the woods up a tree and kill an animal by ambussh nor does it take a genius to walk thru the woods and stalk. Years ago people hunted to survive. if you can afford a rifle than you can afford meat at the market. You wanna kil something ,join the military and fight another guy shooting back at you.
Then ill call you a hunter, until then, go kill animals and maybe someday you will be a SGT. York, but i doubt it.
Nice dead animal you ambusshed there
Got Military Training. If not dont brag about killing something that didn't even see you.
bunch of Vassili Zaitsev's wannabees
Not in my book:laughs: :laughs: :laughs:
before you flame me i would like you to state wheather or not you have served in the military. this will seperate those opinions that dont even matter from those who who have earned the right to kill animals in the U.S.
and save the bullstuff would ya.

spence 01-04-2005 07:36 PM

There certianly is a spectrum. Hiding out for 12 hours then downing a buck with a bow isn't necessarily easy. Back in Iowa they would hunt in large parties and flush the woods, which would be akin to boat fishing

If you want to get a debate started, lets talk about Maine bear traps :af:

How does whether or not someone has been the the military justify whether or not it gives then the right to hunt? that to me makes no sense, nothing you have said makes sense.
Everyone is born with a huntin gean , we are natural hunters, its still the USA and the need to control and manage the deer heard is very much necessary. You mush be a young, stupid or both to even say something like that. Questions: More deer now or more deer is the 1900's?? With so many other needs in the world, your town and your neighborhood, its F'ing people like you that want to waste your energy on chit like this....you oughta be ashamed of your self!!

tynan19 01-05-2005 09:06 AM

Do fish feel pain?

Wow Goose lay it on the line:claps: :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps: And yes you are right more deer now than in 1900. Population control is drastically need especially when we encroach on their habitat building more homes. I would much rather see hunters out enjoying themselves hunting and bagging a deer than a scene like Mike posted. For all the antis'; scenes similar to that are more common than you might think. Better to bag and tag a deer than bag a body because of a deer- auto collision. Just my 2 cents. And the comment about having to have been in the military to hunt is way out of line. So you didn't answer my question; " Are you a member of PETA or some other tree hugger orginazation? "

gilligan 01-05-2005 11:41 AM

ok tough guys

go kill all the bucks you want and brag to each other and have fun doing it. sorry if i ruined your day:laughs:.

fishweewee 01-05-2005 01:02 PM

Gilligan, do the gene pool a favor and go hang yourself.

TBone 01-05-2005 01:46 PM

gilligan, good for you. Well placed arguement and valid points in your rebuttal, you've got me convinced. You're right, deer have absolutley NO instincts that provide them with any survival tactics. It's like shooting fish in a barrel out there in the woods...the thousands of antlers and hides I have are proof of that. Hell why did i even bother with all the camoflague and scent control products that I own. I can go out there with my stereo, set up a lounge chair, bring a cooler sit back relax and fill my tags. What was I thinking? So many hours spent stalking and posting up in the woods. I wish you had come on here and opened my eyes earlier...you sir are a genius!

spence 01-05-2005 02:00 PM

Come on guys, you've got to admit that any sport which may require animal urine is pretty strange :laughs:

Gilligan, you forgot to mention whether or not YOU had military training. You know . . . since you so eloquently stated your own opinion.

And you didn't ruin my day. I don't care what you think.

Do you feel the same way about mouse traps?

Cause a Buck is just big vermin.

Lyme Disease is cool. :smash:

spence 01-05-2005 04:17 PM

I think you should focus your hatred on the ticks, not the deer :smash:

fishweewee 01-05-2005 04:38 PM

Safe to say most of us don't hate deer.

In fact, we love them.

Broiled, pan-fried, grilled, and in meatloaf and sausages.

Slightly higher in cholesterol than other red meats like beef but lower in saturated fats. If gutted promptly and all the fat trimmed away, venison "rivals the marybones of beefe" in palatability.

LM Fin AO...I haven't laughed like this in awhile .....thanks dudes

So if you dont think too many hunters would be coming out of the woods are you saying that deer are stealthier than humans????

hmmmm.....interestingly enough a deer will know when a human is around WAY before a human will know a deer is near and therefore your opinion reeks of ignorance!

yes shame on you hunters! for not challenging gilligan to spend a day in the woods and get as many "shots" (with a camera!!) as possible!!! Thats right if you can shoot them with a weapon so easy you can certainly get them on film right??? go ahead try it and see for yourself just how easy it is!!!!

let us know how you make out allright??
