I just recieved a notice that states the Division of Marine Fisheries will take no action in regards to the cod situation after the hearings on gillnets.

I talked to diodotti earlier today And he said ya the fish and game observers have been on the gillnetters and there having a hard time scrounging up a 100 lbs of cod ..paul knows what happened to the cod and he knows he was too late in putting the emergency action into effect But he said come next december this will not happen again . He did not rule out hutting it down for the remainder of the year if the spawners return in numbers.

Typical:rolleyes: Dont take action until it is too late and bring it to a meeting where nothing happens anyway:( Protect them damned piping plovers but screw the spawning cod these gillnetters need to make more money:smash:
