Helping the troops

I found this site tonight, and reading through I noticed there are big needs for basic everyday items. Whether or not you agree with the war, or the politics of the country, you probably agree that these folks deserve the stuff they are asking for. If you have nothing good to say, move onand keep it to your self. If you want to send something please do. Maybe we could pick one soldier, team up and send a few things in one box, it seems like they share it with other in their unit anyway. Just a thought.

I think it's a great idea.

Great, I found an easy way to send something. Here is a link to a website with premade care kits. There are male, and female kits as well as snack packs. You can pick a soldier off of the first site, and put there info in on the 2nd site.

your right but it worked yesterday.

Got my wife all fired up. Some of the families don't even send any mail.
Barbara is going to the schools and getting the kids to Wright and looking at sending the letters along with other stuff like batteries, power bars and other items they have asked for.

I like the idea nd am not being negative. I heard its Best to get a name to send it to. I heard the "anysoldier" as an address on a package causes real problems and long delays cause they have serious security concerns about packages addressed that way..

Mike if you go on anysoldier, there are names of soldiers, click on their names it will give you a list of what they need. Then you can send it care of them to their addy. They will most likely share it with their unit members.

I am not sure why that link did not work, but you can get there from the anysoldier home page. I just tried it and it is working now.

Mike tell Barb that is a great idea having the kids at school write some letters. :btu:
