Giant jointed swimmer weighting question...
I'm trying to get the weighting correct for a big jointed swimmer (ok it may look somewhat like mureel ;)). It's big, AYC and about 1-3/16 dia and nearly a foot long including wire. I'm making it this big to impress my wife :btu:
Currently I've got a small shot in the back of the tail (~.125 ounce) and a larger shot (~.3 ounce) in the front of the tail. There is no lead in the front section. It's still riding a bit high in the center, but swims really well. I'm assuming I want to keep the lead at the rear. Should I just keep adding more weight to the front of the back half, or start to load the back of the front half until she sits level??? thanks! -spence |
Drill a hole lower than the thru wire hole in the rear of the front section and put a slug of lead in there.

I need to correct myself.....a shot in the tail and then there's a shot in the back of the front section:smash:

oh, maybe I got that wrong:confused:

Just wondering when it's too much lead in one place...I'll tape some on and see how she sits...
Does it matter if the lead is in the belly, or should it be inline with the wire? thanks, -spence |
I corrected my reply ,,look up....that front lead is about 3/32 x 1 1/4' long.....//////////////you can try it that way...don't see why it wouldn't
work. |
