Tuna Question....sorry
 

Anyone have any recommendations on the length of leader between a bird and a tuna feather lure (i.e. jet head)? I am getting my gear ready for next year and was curious as to what most guys use for length of leader for bluefin.....thanks

About 8 feet.

Diddo 8 feet, though I haven't caught one yet. I've trolled probably 200 miles for them over the past 2 seasons.

I was using 6-8' of flourocarbon line for a leader off of the bird, you know how it worked out for me.... :)

IMHO flouro is a waste of money for trolling.

Thanks for your opinion Mako but it has worked well for me.
