a FLOCK of 50
..................................ROBINS.......... .......
they must have just arrived today....this morning that is...in my neck of the woods....of central mass....near conneticut perhaps the ice storm down south sent them up early.... or we're about to flip flop right into some warm weather... I'm hoping thats the case.... anyways just a FYI :D  |
I've had a ton around my house as well, not sure of the reason though.
|
i have seen quite a few up here already..think spring is coming early this year??
|
I've had one here all winter--and not a very bright one, either. Keeps flying into my bedroom window trying to get inside. Knocks himself arse over teakettle, then 2 minutes later tries it all over again :D
|
i saw one lonely robin yesterday on my roof also. looked out of place amidst the 2 feet of snow still up there. hey mike, i have a cardinal that did that same thing last spring. was mulching and kept hearing this banging noise. looked up and it was him. did this for the entire 2 days i was spreading mulch. i thought he was trying to fight another bird (read his reflection). very odd indeed.

there are quite of robins that don't migrate, but they might have got caught in the change of the jet stream? hold over robins
link sr:cool: |
I have been seeing them for over a month. If they have cover and food they will stay put.
|
I saw one at work in Marlboro on Friday, Thought I had a respirator leak.
