Told you I had something for you.....bring back any memories of youth? 1964 Topps Giants.:D

I put #^&#^&#^&#^& Radaz in there because he pitched to The Mick like no one else ever did!;)

wow.....remember the killer

BigFish 02-01-2005 06:14 PM

I also put 4 Yanks in the top left corner......even though the one farthest to the left was playing for the Braves then......he is a Yankee now!:D

I think, if memory serves, Radatz faced Mantle 60 times and struck him out 54 times? Some whacked out thing like that.....I gotta check but Radatz man-handled Mantle, that much I am sure of!

#^&#^&#^&#^& Radatz was the first person I ever got an autograph from. The First National Supermarket in Seekonk.

I never heard anyone refer to Clemente as "Bob".

I heard that Elston Howard is up for consideration for the Hall by the Veterans' Committee this year. I think he and Radatz are the only two there not in. Torre, too, but he'll be there some day.

Nice collection, Larry. My son just finishing listen to "A Lefty's Legacy" on books-on-tape. I'm making him into a Koufax fan at age 12 :hihi:

Wow BF that is a nice little collection you have there. I haven't gone through mine in a while. My grandmother told me my uncles had boxes and boxes of them in the attic, but she just decided to throw them out one day.:smash: :smash: :smash: :smash:

I love those stories about "thrown out" cards!:bc:

Mike....If the kids gotta be a fan of someone....can't think of a better player than Sanford!:D I got my first 1964 Topps Giant card when I was a kid....it was about 74'. It was Tommy Davis and I was hooked on those cards from then on. It is only a 60 card set but I only "just" completed it in MINT condition a few weeks ago. Koufax was the last tough card to get! Thank Gawd for e-bay!

Mike...First National...:laughs: I grew up with one across the street from me! Damn long time ago!;)
