Swivels
 

Just starting out putting some plugs n poppers together.
Wondering what size swivels I should be looking at for lets say a variety of plug sizes??

For a variety of plug sizes more than likely you will need a variety of swivel sizes!;)

Didn't mean to sound like a wise a$$....but different types of plugs take different size swivels.:) The most common size I use is the 330# spro.:D

What makes you choose a Spro over others??

larger plugs Rosco 2/0 (nickel plated) 225 lb. test

smaller plugs Rosco 1/0 (nickel plated) 175lb.test

nickel plated personal preference,,a little flash can't hurt ..

If you have some money to spend Spro power Swivel size #1 will cover most the bases,,330 lb. test .. pm mike at M&D's.. good source right here...

Spro is the best swivel money can buy...stainless and durable! Plus they just look fabulous on a plug...unlike other swivels that can make a plug look....cheap!;)

SPRO is the go to swivel lately. There is alot of talk about the Krock swivel from Sea Striker, which I think is the same as the SPRO in size and power.

I'll second Spro swivels as a top choice. I don't build plugs, but I absolutley destroyed a bunch of Rosco swivels last season in plugs. I have had the loops pull right out of the middle part, I have a bunch that now have oval loops instead of round, and most end up corroding after a season. I bought a bunch of big Spros from MikeCC to re-wire some of last year's warriors.

I only use the spro's lately i still got some 2/0 rosco's to use up i like the 1/0 spro 370lb if that don't fit well i use the size1 spro 330 lb.i'm italian where more is better.i remember sayin hello to donny mussso 2 yrs ago in M an i had his darta on my rod he told me that was a older one as the new ones have the spro's.that was enough for me.i know they cost more but whats pennies.when u make a dozen plugs a yr.

I completely agree. Pretty soon you're upgrading the plug, then the line...rod and even the reel. There's a lot of hidden cost in the SPRO...poser.
