Plug Rack

Just did a search and found a couple of interesting plug racks. Anbody have any other cheap/do-it-yourself systems for hanging plugs? Thanks for any input.

I came up with this one last fall. It's simply 1/4" metal rod and large picture hangers. About 8 bucks from the hardware store.

How come you are always asking me for plugs when you have a wall like that?

spence 02-17-2005 03:05 PM

It's a computer simulation :laughs:

I counted too:D

Thanks guys. I am going to try the "Spence" approach. I'll post some pluggage when I get around to setting it up.

spence 02-17-2005 03:26 PM

It's all done with mirrors :laugha:

Bronko, I used two sided tape to hold the mirror hangers to the wall to position them...then nailed them in. The tape provides a small gap which places the rod out just enough for a hook to get through.

Last sunday I built a quick plug rack out of some leftover 1X2 pine I had laying around and a handful of dowels. I took two 8 foot 1X2s and clamped them together and then drilled 1/2 inch holes thru both of them about every 4 inches apart.

Then I basically just formed the 1X2's into a rough rectangle and put a couple of nails thru the top into an exposed floor joist in my basement.

I just insert the dowels where I want them thru the 1/2 in holes so you can have different width shelves depending on what you've got to hang.

I got a lot of EMPTY shelves.... But I'm working on that....:D

Someone recently asked me for some towel racks, you know who you are if it was you pm me, and I will see if I can get some.

I forgot who it was :( :smash:

I did the dowel rack a few months back. Very simple to do and inexpensive
