Until striper season gets here.....
Bring on the cold, so that more ice will form, meaning that ice fishing will last a little longer.
I haven't had as much time to fish as I would like, but almost all trips have been productive. I'm heading out Saturday morning for some potentially BIG FISH. Most ponds from Boston north have at least 6 - 10 inches, some even more. BASS, PICKEREL, PIKE, PERCH & CRAPPIES..... what a selection. Now if I can get my friend to take his son along, it should be fun. |
I hate the name "Crappies", we call them and always have here on Cape "Calico Bass", it just sounds better for these beautiful little fish. Still some safe ice here and there down here.:)

Hooked that rink is awesome. Did you do it for your kids. My father did that for me and my brother when we were younger. It was great. If you still skate it is perfect for a beer league backyard game. Checking is ok over the snow banks.

Tim what pond are you going to fish on I am planning to go to Westford
Sunday |
I plan on heading to Wayland tomorrow, but I've had good luck at Long Sought for Pond in Westford.
Of course, they did have a fishing derby last Sunday, so I can't vouch for the fishing this weekend. Prior to that, each time I went there, I would drill one hole, set up the rig, turn to head to my next spot, and the flag would trip. The pond has plenty of pickerel, some good size bass, and is stocked with trout to boot. |
Hooked -
I'm on my way over.... Ice |
