What was going on at the SWE tonight?

A film crew working to put together a special on surfcasting for TV (probably PBS) at some point in the future was at the shop interviewing me, the Ironman, and Pt. Jude Joe.

So that's why it was lit up like a movie set in there. ;)

They are interested in documenting the people, culture, equipment, and basically the whole surfcasting scene and it's history. Plug builders, rod builders, tackle shops, personalities, etc.

Pete, is it true your part is being played by Brad Pitt ???

I heard there's a scene where a customer freaks out cause SWE doesn't have any Beachmasters, and Brad Pitt (playing Pete_G) puts a revolver to his head and says "retail is a bitch, man."

They're also talking about putting a hairpiece on Danny DeVito and getting him to play the Ironman.

...and the hawaiian tropic girls playing the roles of the "views" walking by?

and, of course, brooke burk or alyssa milano playing the role of the pretty lady next door?

A tv show about surfcasting huh? That should quell demand...

IMHO, I think DeNiro ought to play the part of Pt Jude Joe...

Any idea when this may hit the airwaves?

It would be great to see this around next Feb. when we're all ready to snap cuz we're sick of the cold and wanna go fishing!

As far as I know it is still in it's VERY early stages and there are MANY more fisherman, shops, and builders they are looking to interview. It's not even 100% definite that it will make it to TV.

It's probably at least a year away.

Now I know what they mean when they say one of the reasons Iron Mike is so successful is.... that he gets inside the bass... :rolleyes:
