OC Maryland or Jersey.

I can't say enough good things about the Jersey one.

Ocean City Maryland is C-H-E-E-S-Y.

Very crowded in the summer.

The surf scene is dead.

However, if you like white marlin and tuna fishing, it's the place to be.

OC Jersey, is kids paradise, there is a board walk with 2 amusement parks one focused at kids 8 and under.
The city is dry, so no drunks in the resturaunts. (Pacini's is a good italian joint, right across from a big tackle shop too).

Cleanest beaches, and great sand castle sand.

For fishing Corsons inlet was my favorite spot, fluke/blues/weakfish/sea bass have been my take, but the tackle shops have plenty of striper pictures, they've been out of season on my trips there.

25 minutes north you're in Atlantic city
30 minutes south you're in Cape May (kick @ss zoo there)

I hope we can make it down that way, but with my oldest son in school now, the late june/july rates are sky high.
