Here She Is......

All put together and boy....it cuts like a dream! :) This is going to save me alot of time and give me perfect cuts every time! :uhuh: Already started making me some cutting jigs!

Bazza 03-28-2005 07:46 PM

Larry, it looks nice. You'll be in production mode in no time.

BigFish 03-28-2005 07:52 PM

Thanks Bazza...I have a back-log of bodies waiting to be cut...head slopes, lip cuts and popper mouths....about 50 bodies waiting to be sliced and diced. I will have plenty to feed to fishies to be sure! :)

What shop are you selling in ???? johnny

BigFish 03-28-2005 08:52 PM

Do I have to be "selling" to use a bandsaw?

Slipknot 03-28-2005 08:53 PM

Happy bandsawing Larry.

just don't forget to lower the blade guide to just above the workpiece.

BigFish 03-28-2005 08:57 PM

Thanks Bruce...still reading the instructions to make sure I use it safely....never knew there was so much to operating some of these tools. Lots of adjustments and stuff! :uhuh:

TheRattBoy 03-28-2005 09:02 PM

No, I have a bench top band saw and I don't sell...it was the 50 bodies to do and thinking of yer big $ ball rasps (or whatever it was ) that you got for doing the popper mouths. See yer putting a lot of $ into this pretty quick, just thought you were selling, like so many of todays crowd (not that there's anything wrong with that)....Sorry for asking.... :wall: johnny

justplugit 03-28-2005 09:25 PM

No stoppin ya now BF.:D Just don't need to see anymore of your bloody thumb plug posts.:btu: Ouch!

capesams 03-28-2005 09:33 PM

give ya bit of a hint....get yourself a wide fine tooth blade,,it'll cut much straighter than a skinny skip tooth one...plus you can resaw wood better.in other words the blade won't twist and run off your line when making long cuts.

Nebe 03-28-2005 09:38 PM

thats an awesome saw there bigfish :D

BigFish 03-28-2005 10:05 PM

No Johnny...just like to have good, quality tools to make things easier and improve quality. I am an addict...what can I say? :uhuh:

BigFish 03-28-2005 10:06 PM

Thanks Capesams...the saw came with just such a blade...wide teeth and damn sharp....cuts like a dream and you barely know the saw is running. :)

Nebe 03-28-2005 10:07 PM

Just watch your fingertips. Meatcutters don't use bandsaws for nothing. They cut clean and fast.

BigFish 03-28-2005 10:09 PM

I tell you Eben, I give you all the credit in the world for makin' them darters....tough plug to get right. You seem to make em' pretty darn nice.

BigFish 03-28-2005 10:10 PM

Don't I know it MAC....them jigs will keep my fingers away from the blade thankyou very much! :uhuh:

Christian 03-28-2005 11:05 PM

reelecstasy 03-29-2005 08:24 AM

Larry congradulations on the new baby -- I was amazed at the ease of doing some of the cuts that took lots of cussin before the band saw!

tynan19 03-29-2005 10:17 PM

Rich / In2Bass 03-30-2005 01:33 PM
