gents: what is the material used for those two flies. Looks like Corsair- but it ain't :doh:

could it be flexicord???? if so where can i get it?

if not, pls identify as well as where i can get the material.

I think it's Yak hair.

Yes it is, BUT you could use easybody also.

I'm sure his herring fly Yak, but I'm not sure the other bodies are e-z braid. I got some word that the body mighy be flexicord. If it is the latter, I don't know where to find it.

YES it is flexicord, BUT you can use (EASYBODY) what I use. you can find it at ANY FLY SHOP. GOOD LUCK GOOD TYIN :wavey:

I asked the man himself at the Wilmington show,he said it was wig hair and the heads are craft foam ,similar to Blado's crease fly.I tied a few up last year for the fall bunker run using yak hair and angel hair ,they were very effective.

Bassbudda: I've been told it's simular to synthetic polar bear hair,to get it straight and wispy heat it with a blow drier and and at the same time comb it out.
