Have any of you guys seen "Fever Pitch" yet? I saw it last weekend and MANY times during the movie I found myself comparing Fallons characters obsession with the Sox to my obsession with fishing.

He lucked out by having Drew Barrymore come around to UNDERSTAND and ACCEPT him for who is is.

But alas, Hollywood endings are far more often fantasies and in real life (like MY real life) the girl (or spouse) usually just :walk: away...

My wide knew from day one about my obsession with fishing, boats and the like. Now she can tell when I need to get out, and actually tells me to go fishing.

Of course, we don't have kids yet. That may change.

Please tell me "my wide" is a typo. At least correct it before the boss see's it and kicks your a$$.

i just started seeing a girl and she doesnt appear to be to happy with my fishing so far, and i havent even hit the salt yet. I cant really tell how she will react to the summer let alone the fall, ive laid down the law about fishing and it seems to go in one ear and out the other. My ex was my fishing buddy, she was pretty good and wouldnt start bitching till bout 8 hours into a trip. i wish i could take all the good from my ex's and put it together into a smoking hot girl that can throw a pencil 150 yards on a convench :love:

Not off to a good start Rob. Give it a few weeks and see how unhappy she gets. I, myself, would rather the freedom to fish whenever possible. And you happen to find a "smoking hot girl who can throw a pencil 150 yards on a convench," see if she has a sister!
