13' Whaler ideas wanted
 

I am laying out a plan to trick out an early 1970 13' whaler hull. Looking at adding a 1 piece console with a saddle seat, which will need to be glassed to hull floor. Will add 25hp 4str short shaft and glass a cover for cables to hull as well.

Any experiences, ideas and photos aprreciated. This will be primarily for me to get into the tight spots I couldn't get close to with the 28' Pursuit.

Just out of curiosity, why only a 13'?

You might want to look at McKee craft and Wahoo as well if you are looking for the Whaler style.

MTC, nice build. That's the sport design I believe, but I am done sitting that low on wood.

TaJon, only a 13 because that's what I have. The hull has been in the family since 1969. It's been flipped over (tail hopping tugboat wakes), supported a boat cleaning and service company we ran in high school, and been on loan to the local junior sailing program for 5 years. Now it's going to be my dawn taxi to a couple holes i can't reach from shore.
