Fly and/or Teaser Swap
 

OK , Saltydog tried to get a fly swap going on the fly fishing forum. I don't think that many peopple saw it so I'm putting it up here. Saltydog is still running the swap if that's OK with him. If not , I'll do it.

So far from the other forum we have

Just to add that these things won't be do til like march or so. Plenty of time to actually do the tying.

I'd do it if I could but I have promised myself and my wife that I won't try to do everything this year...

To give you some examples, I've fished for a while with the old simple teaser but in recent years have gone to more complicated fly teasers. FW gave me a few at the beginning of the year that were great. BobBike gave me a few at last month's MSBA meeting that are SWEET too... Another thing to learn...

OK, ten people, everyone builds 10 rods and we'll ship them out in 2 weeks :eek: Oh, the horror....

This year I may actually try to flyfish, then I think about tying flies and teasers ;)

You don't need to be an expert. The whole point is to get ideas from other people.

I have no idea what a fly swap is but if it has to do with tying count me in I'm new to fly tying but I am having a ball

Hey swimmer - how about you?

BobBike - I might scan a few of the ones you gave me and put them up on the board here. They're gonna get some use next year!!!

I'm a newbie but I'll give it a shot ;) Please don't ask me anything fancy. deceiver or surf candy, i can do. :D Let me know the details.

Ok JCXX you are in. You choose what you will make , just let us know so we don't get a bunch the same.

So we have ten guys. We'll see if we can't get a couple more for an even dozen. Actually if we all tie 12 , we can have 13 guys. If we all tie ten we can have 11 guys. Lets leave the sign up going to include everyone if we can but with 10 guys , we got a pretty good swap already.

We have 10 , we have room for 3 more max.

Oh BTW , I posted this on the flyfishing forum but might as well put it here too.

I'll be doing the graded fly/teaser pictured under my name. I call it a graded teaser.

If there is still spots available count me in for the Fly swap. I could tie up some spread flies if no one is doing those. ;)

OK Sammy makes 12. If everyone ties a dozen , we can swap with 13 guys so we got room for 1 more then that's it.

Not to sure if I'll have a doz3en of any one fly but I sure will have a mixture ;)

Was left up to my own devices yesterday evening and I am 6/12's of the way there......

That's the spirit Fishpart. Everyone can start tying a dozen now and that way will be ahead of the game when we get some details from saltydog.

Oh BTW Fishpart, if you want I'll show you how to put nice eyes on them and epoxy the heads. Get the 12 done and we'll see about getting together for a little session. I have everything needed at my house. The teaser you are tying looks really good with a holographic eye and an epoxied head.

:eek: SORRY GUYS, I just got back on line, had to change e-mail server to web page e-mail an when I changed address john gave me a NEW password an could not get on line w/the page. THANKS TO JOHN Im BACK. If everyone would like to rest for the holidays an get them to me by JAN4 I can get them out MONDAY the 7th hows that sound? PLEASE, PLEASE put in a GOOD package.
