Would herring hit teaser?

Today I wet a line just after high tide on the south side back up inside a favorite place of mine and every retrieve I kept getting tap tap tap tap tap tap and more taps. These taps of course occurred without a hookup. I used small 1/0 hooks on my teasers and have caught some pretty small fish on them. Could these voracious taps be coming from the mass of herring swimming to or from the herring run in the area?

Sounds to me like you are just a little rusty on the hook set!!!! :hihi: :faga: Our teasers were workin fine there the other day.

hook set/mind set

Low end of the tide I'll bet huh Jules. No really it was driving me nuts. The herring must have spawned at the local run and were going back to deep water because the tide had turned that direction. Going to go Friday a.m.
