As an aside, there is no such thing as a 3 piece surf rod to my knowledge.

What do you want to throw 100 yeards? Heavy jigs , bait and sinker , big plugs?? Where do you want to throw it. beach river , canal breachway?

need to know a little more to help.

Allstar 1088 is nice for what you mention. There are also longer rods with similar capability

Saltheart 05-04-2005 02:01 PM

Sorry , for two piece , good bets are Allstar 1145/2 and 1265/2 for 3/4 to 3OZ or allstar 1266/2 for about 2 to 5 OZ.

There are many lamis you could look at in 2 piece models like the 120-2L XRA 1322 , even the CSB series of Lamis has some 2 piecers and are considerably less money than an XRA model.

What's your budget?
