Smoothie switch.

I just did it. They were at my door when i got outta work at 1am. M&D's is quick, thanks mike. 3am but its done i think. ITs a 7000c3. With the stock drags it clicks when the drag lets go. With the smoothies is it supposed to make that same noise? They do seem quite a bit smoothieR but still make the noise, just wanna make sure i did it right or if its back to work. I assume the teflon side of the washers go towards the guts of the reel, please say i did it right. Thanks a lot.

It will still click when it takes drag on a 7000. Did you get the washer under tha main gear as well? The smoothies have more friction than the stock washers.

the click is your "line out alarm"

On the 7000C3 there is a faint clicking when the drag is pulled; at least mine has been like that since I got it and I have no complaints with the functionality of the reel....

I got the washer under the main gear as well. Eben the click is faint, not the clicker that you can switch on, not sure if thats the click you are thinkin bout. Is that the click you are talking bout. By the way Eben, is your name pronounced like the tide?

I have a couple 7000s (7001s actually). That click is just built into the drags. I like hearing it because w/50 pound power pro and the drag cranked down its usually a sign of a good fish.
