With all the cautions you'd think it was Bristol!

At this rate the race'll be over just in time to make the tide change down my way!

Mikey don't seem to happy with Jr. at the moment

I had to laugh when they interviewed a Nascar driver (forget his name) about her. He stated that it isn't fair because she only weighs 105#s. COME ON NOW What a whiner. He just sounds like he would be afraid of being beaten by a gurl :laughs:

Robbie Gordon was the NASCAR drive that said that. :smash:

Indy has a min weight of 1500 lbs give or take. And she met the requirements... Anyone doing 200+ mph needs balls of steel. She could have won it if it wasnt for some last minute pit falters.

After somethin like 90 years, they suddenly want to change the weight rules cause they calculate she has a .8mph advantage. :spidey:
Race your cars boys, race your cars.

Clogston29 06-01-2005 12:21 PM

Robbie

By that logic, maybe if Robbie goes on a diet and loses a few pounds he'll start qualifieing for cup races and maybe even finish on the lead lap for a change. He claims that she gets an extra mile per hour based on her weight. With how even everthing else is and the fact that she's in good equipment, if that were true she'd win easily. She got really lucky in that race though with the timing of her mishaps.

You'd also figure, 800 left turns at 200+ mph over the course of 2-3 hours, in a 100 degree plus cockpit, would put a little more wear on a 105 pound body than on a 180 pound one ;) I figure that washes out the .8 mph speed advantage, if it even exists. The right engine, the right platform, even the right tires and tweaking of the suspension means more than 60 or 70 pounds less weight.

Just shut up and race. It ain't a horse race, no one gets any weight handicap and ain't nuttin' says all the "horses" have to go off at 126 pounds :humpty:

I'd bet Gordon regrets making that statement right about now. He must be catching some heat. Seems he recanted his statement saying he wasn't picking on her personally. Sure sounded that way to me though. He is still a whiner :hihi:
