Starter Replacement?
Not sure if I remember...starter on a 318 Chrysler motor...pretty simple? Disconnect battery, remove cable, couple of bolts off and on maybe 40 minutes???? I need to replace the old one! :tm:

Piece of cake.

Yeah, thought so Dave...just priced a new Duralast....$60.00 bucks....I do it tomorrow! Just needed a little reassurance...not mechanically inclined but I think I replaced one on one of my Dusters years ago! :tm: Thanks! You been fishing?

318 is easy. You shouldn't have any trouble at all. If you run into trouble, call me in the afternoon.

I had a 71' Duster...no frills, looked great with the slant......sold to a buddy who wrapped it around a pole! Then I had a 73' with a 318.....quick, not a "Hypo".

What a tank !!!!!!! We put headers and a big carb on it. Glass pak resonating mufflers. You could hear me coming for a mile. 45 cents for a gallon on gas. We sure partied in that girl. Couldnt see out the windshield some nights..... :D By the way BF, the truck altenator is what died and left me stranded. Got the truck towed to my house and I replaced it Monday in about an hour., :kewl: You'll be fine..go for it. |
I had a 74 Duster that we called a Ruster! That starter will be done in 15 min!!
