cut hooks--

Has anyone found that coating the open ends with epoxy or zinc chromate prevents corrosion?

I just put a little hard as nails nail polish on them, it helps. I rinse my plugs when I can, even if it is the next day. I think fresh water rinsing is the most important thing to prevent corrosion.

Thanks Slip, i'm making a plug that's got "split ring hook hang up disease" and need to cut some vmc's to cure it.

Dave I use the hard as nails too. It seems to work. I got the same split ring thing problem too. I always rinse plugs. Paul
