rookie seeking west end-'Ditch'/Buzz Bay advice

I am slipping my 1851 WA Striper at the west end of the ditch for a week or so. I am a rookie when it comes to striper fishing, and was just looking for a little advice from the more seasoned veterans here. I know the afternoon SW winds in Buzz Bay are a factor for me in my little 18 1/2 footer, I obviously can't and won't venture 'out' too far, but 'near' the west end, what and where should I try?..I have lead and wire......tube and worm?, 9'ers?, bunker spoons?, I asked this question 'elsewhere', and don't expect lat/long/gps coordinates to favorite holes/ledges, etc, but any advice would be appreciated......thanx, in advance........rookie bob, looking for the first 'keeper'...

....I guess my question may have been 'inappropriate'...but again, I wasn't looking for favorite fishing hole specifics..just a little advice to get me started....thanx anyway guys.....good luck out there....

buttermilk bay is always a good idea in a boat that size and anywhere around the mouth of the canal can produce some nice fish

take a look at this map you can also look at a sat image

good luck

Tube & worm with lead , Parachutes on the edge of the canal . Leave the Bunker spoons for Cape Cod Bay. Go for Flukeat Mashpee Flats

thanks.......I'll try that area, but also wanted to venture out to the Mashnee Flats area.....weather/tides permitting......does that sound reasonable?

....just read your post Mike....after I posted my last....thanx....is it the combination of a west ditch tide with SW winds that makes for a nasty day in that area....?
