Advice for Rockport/Gloucester area?

Hi guys, I have been fishing Rockport and Gloucester lately, mostly with topwater plugs, with limited sucess, I have only caught one schoolie every time I have been out.
I have a lot of research and work to do still, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice for fishing up there? I have been fishing nights and the last two weeks that has meant outgoing tides. Any advice for tides and/or methods that work well there? I have been using topwater plugs mostly because it is very rocky and you tend to get snagged VERY easily.
