SPOOLED!!!!!!!!!!!

not what you think though..

i had my rod lashed to the racks on my cap tonight..my abu 6500CSmag was on the rod. I guess the vibrations loosened up the 3 screws that hold the right sideplate on and it fell off, then the spool fell out.. I get to my fishing partners house to pick him up and there is 300 yards of power pro & the backing stretched down his street.

ugggg :(

back in "74" I was head to Karl's side of the beach[thats when anyone could go there] to do some cod fishin[thats right, cod of the beach] well...it's a very long narrow deep rutted dirt road you needed to go down...I got to the bottom onto the little parking lot,,stopped the truck to get out an air down. looked in the back of my truck and there was one of my rods balanced perfectly on the edge of the tailgate straight out pointed dew west...with an empty spool right down to the knot....aww he**...grabbed the rod and started winding all the way back to the main road.....I hooked a bush at the start of the dirt road...lotta line on a 704

at least you could use your reel steve-

All i have now is the left sideplate with the mags, and the frame. No spool, no right sideplate, no handle... i dont think i can order just a side plate too, so this reel is now junk :crying:

Kind of like when my fishing partner and I got "skunked" on MV a couple of weeks ago.

Anyone ever smell skunk spray on waders? Some kind of a chemical reaction. Smells somewhere between skunk and burning rubber.

That trip cost 2 pair of waders.

Pete

taste good the second time around ?

be thankful it wasnt the 60's or 70's , you might have hooked a caddy and then you would have had cap and truck issues to boot . talk about getting spooled . Officer it was a 73 eldorado with a needle fish on the bumper
