carpenter ants

this is the time they become a problem...
.and there are many available solutions....
boric acid powder being one of them thats safe around kids and pets....

but i stumbled apon a very clean & easy one yesterday.....
i ran some hot water in the sink to do some clean up...
using dawn dishsoap (antibacterial flavor :) )

i took a basket ball sized glob of soap foam..... and shoved it into a corner

where worker ants were following a scent trail....(for the last several nights)and presto! -> no more ants.
the next day it had evaporated but the constant flow of ants had vanished.

it doesnt matter how many you vacume up or spray dead....its the scent trail
that you have to get rid of....and the soap foam did it perfectly... :btu:

Like I keep telling the crew when we uncover carpenter ant damage, when ants eat, we eat!
