I think they are basking sharks goofing around in the sound and approched the boat while we were drifting for fluke.

Yup,
Mikey and I had two about 100' off Ant hill the other day.
He took the yak out to get a better look.
I was on my way out when a huge school of bass came through, so I opted for the stripers.

they are baskings but man they scare the piss out of ya when you first see them. from a far it looks like the biggest MoFo white ever....
