RainX and salt water

Anyone use rainx on their boat windshields, if so how does it work?

Works great until someone washes the windshield with detergent. :(

Works good on both glass and plastic. I try to use it before every trip.

Good to know, thanks. ....hmmmm, I wonder if I made a 'Marine' version and charged $15 a bottle ....

I was warned not to use it on plastic (plexiglas) by the shop that made my winshield. They told me that it will cause it to haze and yellow over time, similar to using windex on it.

I've been using it for a couple years and haven't seen any effect of yellowing, but it may not have been long enough. For me it works great and lasts several weeks and through several washings using simple green. When I apply it I always put on 2 coats as the directions instruct. I don't have windshield wipers so this stuff is critical for those wet rides.
