looking for macs in the fall??
 

looking for bait this fall. and was wondering if the macks return to the same area. i did well sandwich mass. this spring but wondering if the fall run be the same. we in ri get a mini run in the late fall, but that is a hit and miss. please advise if u have encountered the macs run in the fall. thanks....

We get a mackerel run in Newport in the late fall these days. Usually after the bass season- like right up to Christmas. You can get them on sabiki rigs from the goat island causeway ,ft adams , and castle hill . In the 60's and 70's we had mackerel from the causeway all summer and into the fall , but...the times ... they are a changin...
