7½ Passenger car (2 ton gross)
8 Light truck (2½ ton gross)
10 Medium truck (3½ ton gross)
12 Heavy truck (7 to 8 ton gross)
15 10 tons
20 25 tons
25 45 tons
30 70 tons

That came from the MAss FW site. Your welcome, they have already had one person lose their life in Maine this year. One is one too many.

was up in northern VT two weekends ago (and usually the ice is MORE than thick enough by then up there) ...anyway the lake wasnt frozen enough yet but someone had tried to snowmobile across it a few days before we were there.....they went through.......:rolleyes: (luckily he survived but I wonder how his $7,000 toy is???) ITS NOT WORTH IT!!!!! no matter what your doing on the ice be careful!!! and just because someone ELSE is out there doesnt mean it is necessarily safe!!!
