durable clear coat

Just wondering what everyone thinks the formula is for the most durable clear coat excluding any car finish clear coats. Would you say:

2 coats of spar urethane covered up by 2 coats of e-tex?

Whats everyone think?

sounds like overkill.

No clear coat is going to be completely bullet proof. Pick one that works for you in terms of application. No need for overkill, its going to crack off eventually due to fish (hopefully!!) or rocks.

Stay away from the spar urethane...the stuff sucks...once the clear coat wears the water gets to the spar and all hell breaks loose. :skulz:
